Submit Feed to Feed Directories

In this post we shall learn a little bit on what is web Feed and some popularity list of Feed Directories. This may help increase awareness of our new articles/post and attract more readers to our Blog/Site. So what is Feed?, A web feed (or news feed) is a data format used for providing users with frequently updated content. Content distributors syndicate a web feed, thereby allowing users to subscribe to it. Making a collection of web feeds accessible in one spot is known as aggregation, which is performed by an Internet aggregator. A web feed is also sometimes referred to as a syndicated feed. So we know what is web feed in common and why its imporatant, still if your not aware of this, i hope you would be aware of this icon or the term subscribe. This indicates that you can subscribe to the web page your viewing at. There are two default feeds for blogspot, namely ATOM and RSS.

So you know whats a feed, now to syndicate your feed content of your post make sure its set to "Allow Blog Feed" to Short or Full, which will allow your subscribers to read your full content or a summary of your content. To ensure its syndicated:

1. Login to Blogger account with your ID


2. Click on Setting


3. Click on Site Feed Tab


4. Allow Blog Feed to None, Short or Full


5. Save your settings and your done.

Now you can use your feed by substituting "BLOGURL" by your web address.

ATOM FEED:

http://BLOGURL/feeds/posts/default

Some of you may have syndicated your feed from other feed services like feedburner, and those feeds can be used too. So now you have your default feed address and now its time that you add your feed to feed directories.
