Today we shall learn the basics of blogging in Blogger; "How to manage labels in Blogger". There may be some of you who may be even far more knowledgeable than this post that i am gonna discuss today, so if i have missed up anything please feel free to discuss with us. Labels in simple can be referred to as Categories of our posts that we can group them in to.
Labels can be assigned to a blog post in 2 different ways:
- While posting
- After Posting
How to Add Labels while posting
You can add a label name or category name in simple while your posting. In the above picture shown just add your category name, example say if your writing about pets you may feel that it is better to have a category "Dog" as you have different varieties of dogs. So you add a category or a label name "Dogs". So when your going to add this label name as shown in the above picture add your label name in the red circle marked.
How to Add Labels after posting
Let us say that after sometimes you feel that the category in which your post is in is not similar to the mentioned category, so as an example let us say you have two posts under "Blogger Tutorial" and you want to change it into "Blogger Training", so what you do is select or tick your posts that you want to add the new label
and go to the drop down menu on "Label Actions" and select and click on "New Label" and a prompt box will appear asking for a new label name, then you specify your new Label name that you want and ok and your done.
How to Remove Labels in Blogger
The same way suppose let us say that you have a Label Name or a Category that you think is not worth having it, so what you can do is remove the label name, example let us say that i want to remove the Label "Blogger Tutorial",
Click on the label "Blogger Tutorial" in the left side label list shown above, and all the post of its category will be displayed, now select on all posts and go to "Label Action" and click remove and your done.

I tried this on my blog. It says "new label has been added to one post" but i am not able to see that new label. Not on my main page or even on my edited stuff.
